Manage assistant memory

Inspect what the assistant remembers about you and correct or remove entries you no longer want it to use.

Before you start

Open a conversation from Home in the correct workspace. Memory controls apply to you and the selected workload. The actions available depend on your permissions.

Review your memory

  1. Select Manage memory in the assistant conversation.
  2. Review the entries, their labels, and their current state.
  3. Check whether each entry is accurate and useful for future conversations.

The panel shows stored memory across sessions for the selected workload. An empty list means there are no visible entries in that view; a permission message means you cannot inspect it with your current access.

Choose an action

ActionWhen to use it
Pin or UnpinMark an entry as important, or remove that mark.
Disable or EnableExclude an entry from recall without deleting it, or allow it to be used again.
EditCorrect an entry’s content. The previous entry is retained as superseded history rather than overwritten.
IncorrectRemove an inaccurate entry from active recall.
Forget this sessionClear memory associated with the current conversation.
Forget everythingPurge your memory across sessions for the selected workload.

Forget everything is irreversible. Check the workspace and selected workload before completing its two-step confirmation. This memory action does not establish that every conversation record, audit record, or other record about you has been deleted.

After an action completes, check the panel for the updated state or confirmation. If an action fails, read the displayed message and confirm the current state before trying again.

Understand what influenced an answer

Review Sources when it appears below an answer to see the retrieved document titles, excerpts, and available relevance scores. Recalled context, when present, shows prior user or assistant turns returned as memory matches, with their similarity scores. These sections are not a complete record of every factor that influenced the response, a guarantee of accuracy, or a view into private model reasoning.

If a control is missing

Ask your workspace administrator whether your role allows the operation. You may be able to inspect memory without being allowed to edit or purge it. Do not switch to another person’s account to work around a restriction.
