Use an app
Open an available workload through its chat, form, or block interface. Each app has its own purpose and inputs; it may answer a question, transform information, or perform an action in a connected service.
Before you start
Select the workspace where the app is available. You need access to the workload and permission to execute it. Being able to view an app does not grant permission to run it.
Read the app’s description and use information your organization permits it to process. Running an app can consume resources and change connected systems. Confirm that its purpose and effects match your task before submitting.
Open the app
- Open Build → Catalog → Apps.
- Find the app by name or narrow the gallery using Chat, Form, or Block.
- Select the app and read the instructions displayed.
The gallery lists workloads enabled for the interactive runtime. An empty gallery does not mean your workspace has no workloads. Ask the workload owner whether the app has been made available in this workspace.
Complete the task
| Interface | What to do |
|---|---|
| Chat | Enter a message and select Send, or press Enter. Use Shift+Enter for a new line. Read the returned answer before sending another message. |
| Form | Complete the labeled fields, including those marked required, and select Submit. |
| Block | Follow the app’s instructions and complete its input blocks. Select its configured action button, or Run when that default button is shown. |
Wait for the result and review any execution progress or error message. The appearance and available fields depend on the app’s configuration.
Check the result
Check both the displayed outcome and the returned content. A completed run does not establish that an AI-generated answer is accurate or that it meets your business requirements. Confirm important information against its supporting material and follow your organization’s review process.
If the app acts on an external service, confirm the expected result there through your approved access. Do not repeatedly submit an uncertain action: the first request may already have taken effect.
If you cannot proceed
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| The app is absent or says This workload is not available | Confirm the workspace and ask its owner to check interactive availability and access. |
| The gallery or app cannot load | Use the displayed retry action. Contact the operator if the failure persists. |
| An input is rejected | Correct the field identified by the form or message, then review your inputs before submitting again. |
| The run fails or asks for a human decision | Read the message and contact the workload owner or responsible reviewer. A failure message does not establish that every external action was undone. |
| A block app has no configured blocks | Ask the workload owner to complete its interface configuration. |
When reporting a problem, include the workspace, app name, approximate time, and displayed message. An authorized operator can investigate the run. Exclude secrets and information your organization does not permit you to share.
